Deborah Pow, a third year Illustration student has been named the winner of the third annual KCA Alumni Award.
The awarding ceremony of KCA Alumni Award 2013 was held in Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD) on 5th November 2013. The final year Time Based Art & Digital Film student, Michal Zagorski, has finally won the award.
Nine members of the China Institute of Interior Design (CIID) were invited by both Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD) and Keass Creative Association as a special Judging Panel of the KCA Alumni Award 2013.
The 2012 KCA Alumni Award Exhibition Previewing and the Awarding Ceremony was held in Cooper Gallery Project Space, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD), on Tuesday, 23rd October. The final year animation student Jenny Pattison, originally from Glasgow, is the inaugural winner of the award.
The KCA Alumni Award is specifially for students who are studying at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee (DJCAD). The creative competition organized by KEASS and DJCAD selects one winner each year, who will receive a prize of ¥30,000 (thirty thousands Yuan in RMB, approx. £3,000).
On 29th of october 2011, Keass Creative Awards (KCA) Launch Reception was successfully held at East Lake Park of Chengdu, China. During the Reception, Mr. X. Kevin Li, the Executive Director of Keass Creative Association, announced the launch of KCA. Wales International Consortium Director Ms. Virginia West gave a speech to congratulate the successful launch of KCA and also showed her appreciation and expectations of the creative industries in Chengdu.
